Running back Eddie Lacy returns to practice after groin injury

Running back Eddie Lacy has returned to the practice field just in time for Week 11’s Monday Night matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons.

“Eddie is ready to practice today,” coach Pete Carroll said during his Thursday press conference. “He’s ready to get back in action.”

Lacy was inactive against the Cardinals in the desert for the Seahawks’ Thursday Night game, ruled out on the injury report with a groin strain. He did not participate in practice during the team’s short week.

In six games played this season, Lacy has only logged 48 carries for 128 yards and no touchdowns.

The Seahawks’ run game has taken quite a few hits this season with running backs Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise now on the injured reserve.

Seattle promoted Mike Davis from the practice squad to the active roster this week to add much-needed depth at the position.

Lacy and the Seahawks will practice Thursday through Saturday ahead of Monday’s prime-time action.
